Own The Room with Ladies, Wine & Design

What's your biggest fear? If you're like 90% of Americans, it's public speaking. Whether you're presenting your design concepts, interviewing for a job, or trying to win over a client, you're bound to find yourself speaking to a group of people.

On Thursday November 9th, we'll be partnering with our friends at Ladies, Wine & Design and Freelancing Females to host an evening with Own The Room coach Marie Wedderburn. Marie will lead an interactive workshop to help you transform your communication skills to become a more confident speaker and leader. In this workshop, you will learn skills to:

Make your message stronger using your voice and gestures

Connect with your audience in a dynamic way

Enthrall your audience, impress your boss and wow your clients

Gravitas through voice modulation, body language, and movement with purpose

Overcome fear and nervousness that you get from public speaking

The New Work Project x Raw Haus Event

The New Work Project kicked off its Fall cultural program on Wednesday October 10th, with an evening celebrating local Brooklyn craftsmanship, creativity and entrepreneurship.

Graham Nelson of Vox Media provided the keynote speech and introduced the evenings makers, creators, artists and designers: projection mapping artist Kelly Xi lit up our central skylight and columns; Thursday Finest showcased their beautiful 3D machine knitted clothing accessories.
